When Walter G contacted us in 2023 about a white cotton drawstring packaging bag, the request was for a branded packaging accessory. The design looked simple, but the fabric, the way the bag closed, and the colour of the printed logo all needed careful attention.

Choosing the Cotton Fabric
We started by selecting a range of cotton fabrics and sending swatches to Australia. This gave Walter G the chance to assess the materials before choosing one for the bag. Once the fabric was confirmed, we moved on to sampling using the detailed drawings they provided.
Refining the Drawstring
The drawstring was a small but important part of the project. We worked on the construction of the top channel so the bag would gather smoothly when pulled. We also concealed the join in the drawstring to avoid a noticeable seam when someone handled it.
Matching the Screen-Printed Logo
For the walter.g logo, we used the Pantone colour specified by the client as our reference when preparing the screen print. The first bag sample and the first print submission were approved.
Walter G went on to place several further orders for this bag, and our collaboration on the style has continued. It is a project we value because it shows how much care can go into a packaging accessory: from the first fabric swatches to the feel of the finished drawstring.
