Before requesting garment samples, prepare the information that defines what you want to make. A clear starting point helps both sides review the garment, identify missing details and agree on the next steps.
At KEYIDI TEXTILE, we review projects based on a complete tech pack with production-ready drawings and specifications, or a physical sample garment. We do not take on development projects based only on inspiration photos, concept sketches or an idea.
Two Ways to Prepare Your Project
Option 1: A complete tech pack
Your technical documents should explain the garment clearly enough for a construction and sampling discussion. Include drawings and specifications rather than relying on a visual reference alone.
Check that your documents cover:
- Front and back technical drawings, with detail views where needed.
- Garment measurements, measurement methods and any required tolerances.
- Fabric requirements, including composition and weight where specified.
- Trims such as buttons, zips, elastic and interlining.
- Construction details, including seams, closures, lining and finishing.
- Labels, print or embroidery placement, and packaging requirements where applicable.
- A style reference and document version, so everyone is reviewing the same information.
Mark any unresolved details clearly. If a material or construction decision is still open, identify it in your enquiry rather than leaving the requirement ambiguous.
Option 2: A physical sample garment
If you have an existing sample garment, tell us what it represents and whether the proposed production should follow it or include changes.
List any requested changes to fit, measurements, fabric, colour, trims or construction. If the sample is intended only to demonstrate one feature, explain which details should be followed and which should not.
Contact us before sending a physical sample so that the submission arrangements can be confirmed. Photos can help introduce the garment, but they do not replace the physical sample in this route.
Why Reference Images Alone Are Not Enough
A fashion photograph can show the overall appearance of a garment, but it does not fully define its measurements, internal construction, materials or finishing.
Developing those details from images alone requires a different design and development process. This is outside the project scope we accept.
If you currently have only reference images or a concept, first work with a designer or technical designer to prepare a complete tech pack or arrange a physical sample garment.
What to Include in Your Enquiry
Alongside your technical documents or sample details, provide:
- Your company or brand name and contact information.
- The garment category and number of styles.
- Intended quantities for each style and colour, if available.
- Your proposed size range.
- Your target delivery window.
- Whether fabrics and trims are already selected.
- A clear list of questions or requirements that need review.
These details give the project context. Minimum quantities, sampling timing, material availability and production scheduling are confirmed against the individual brief.
What Happens Before Production?
Submitting a tech pack or offering a sample garment starts the project review; it is not a production confirmation.
Outstanding specifications, material choices and sampling requirements need to be discussed. Any revisions should be recorded clearly so the agreed garment details can be distinguished from earlier versions.
